Every week I am besieged by offshore companies asking for me to outsource my overflow work to them. Time and again I politely say “We need to keep the jobs here (in the United States of America), sorry.”
Business owners need to understand that using cheap overseas service providers can cost your business more than you realize. [Businessblogshub.com]
It saddens me that people I know personally will opt to hire
overseas service providers versus the hungry, willing and exceptionally skilled programmers, designers and developers here in their own country. Why do they do this? Well, gee whiz, I can get a whole website built for $250.00, doesn’t matter that you are taking away the ability for an able bodied American to provide for their family, on top of not receiving the quality work that you would more than likely acquire here. I know that sounds harsh, but it is the simple truth.
If you want to support other countries and their economy then I suppose you are helping the global economy.
If you want to support the failing United States Economy, please keep your dollars here. If you need to save money, hire college graduates who are looking to build their portfolio (Mira Costa College in San Diego has some exceptionally talented students, contact the department chair or the dean to have your project looked at by these awesome students).
